    What is the Sail score?

    The three requirements that employers look for are tallied up through your Sail score. The more you talk on Sail, the community-focused Japanese conversation service, the higher your application screening rate and job offer rate. However, you can still apply even if you do not meet the requirements. ① Conversation Count: The number of times you have conversed with Japanese people on Sail. ② Conversation Partner Count: The number of Japanese people you have conversed with on Sail. ③ Supportive Comments: The number of supportive comments received from Japanese people you have conversed with on Sail. Register your Sail account today and talk with many different people from Japan!

    How can I receive supportive comments?

    Please indicate that you are interested in working in Japan or at a Japanese company on your profile page. By doing so, after speaking with the same Japanese person 3 or more times, the Japanese person will be able to leave you supportive comments.

    What are supportive comments? How do the supportive comments help with the job-hunting process?

    Supportive comments from Japanese people will help increase your application screening and job offer rates. Japanese people with whom you have conversed at least three times can write supportive comments for you.

    Do I need to register in order to apply for jobs listed on the Jobs page?

    You do not need to register. You can apply for each job using the "Apply" button found on their respective pages.

    Yes, even people that do not currently live in Japan can apply. The cost of travel and visa application may or may not be covered by the employer. Please check the job information page.
